So, I had a sleigh bed frame for a few years now that went with my dresser set but the overall sturdiness, quality of the frame and boxspring was terrible. The constant squeaks and creeks were driving me insane as it was affecting the quality of my sleep.
I decided for my birthday I would treat myself and order a new frame, which leads to an overall update/makeover of my lil space. I am a homebody & love to spend time in a place that is all mine.
I started by ordering the bed frame which I got a great deal on, on amazon. It was just what I was looking for, simple, sturdy, wouldn’t take up too much space, already matched my other furniture and affordable. You can find it here.
After ordering the frame, my inner interior designer sparked and naturally I needed to continue with a few more changes/tweaks. I ordered an end table from amazon as well. I was moving towards the “simplified and modern look” at this point and had a lot in mind for what else I wanted.
This leads us to Target. OVERALL SPLURGE. Lol, I just can’t help myself when it comes to that store. The home section of Target is a picture of my brain. My spiritual animal. I love you, Target. Best friends forever.
I bought a floating shelf so that my end table wasn’t cluttered with all my “little things”.
I also got an accent lamp for my new end table.
I can’t even begin to explain how much more floor space I have opened up by these slight furniture changes. I love it.
I have a thing for bedding. I have so much of it, it’s almost embarrassing. Hey, I am a person of variety. I bought a new quilt, sheets & throw blanket from Target as well. I already had the throw pillows.
While looking for bedding I obviously browsed Urban Outfitters. That store is a dreamy dream. I would live in one. Their bedding is overpriced so I moved on over to the art & decor section. I bought the hanging wood frame & Quibe kiss art print. The frame looks much darker in pictures, it’s a dark brown wood. It did come a lot darker than the pictures online, but that happens with online ordering.
I bought these random little tassels for $3 at target a while back with no intentions or ideas of how or what I would ever use them for. Perfect description of what that store does to me.
Dresser space stayed the same but I love it equally. I have had a note from my best friend, from high school still written on my dry erase board from 5 years ago when we took a nap. “Lover you bibbo, sleep tight”. Now I’m rambling, also… still bernin’ as you can see. I love you, grampa Bernie Sanders.
Hope you enjoyed reading and peeking in on my lil area.
